Hotel ANDAZ Lisbon (2024 -2026)
| shooting for Andaz Lisbon
For the uniform design project developed for Andaz Lisbon, the creative concept draws inspiration from the hybrid and mystical figures of Portuguese popular art, with particular emphasis on the Figurado de Barcelos, a certified and emblematic form of folk art.
Rooted in everyday life, as well as religious and pagan traditions, these hand-modelled clay sculptures informed the project’s visual language. Their expressive forms and vibrant colours influenced the colour palette, graphic patterns and custom-designed jewellery, conceived as integral elements of the uniforms. Together, these elemente create a dialogue between contemporary hospitality design and Portugal’s rich artisanal heritage.

Through these references, the uniforms were designed to enrich the guest experience — inviting curiosity, communicating local narratives and cultural symbolism, and reinforcing a sense of place while allowing space for individual expression.

The uniforms are conceived as unique pieces that balance structured and fluid materials, expressing a modern, distinctive and refined spirit. A light, luminous colour palette — inspired by the natural light of Lisbon — supports comfortable, active silhouettes designed to keep pace with the dynamics of daily work. Accents of deep blue and rounded graphic shapes add a strong visual identity, reinforcing a sense of sophistication. Versatile coat closures and adaptable design details allow for multiple ways of wearing each piece, encouraging personal expression while maintaining a cohesive and practical uniform language.
